Sean Combes

Biography & Career

Sean Combes is a percussion designer and educator living in Baldwinsville, NY where he is currently the Percussion Coordinator for East Syracuse - Minoa High School in the Syracuse area as well as the Front Ensemble Arranger/Designer for Alchemy Independent Percussion Ensemble in Raleigh, NC. He is active as a percussion arranger and clinician for numerous colleges and high schools across the country and his work can be found on Standing O Marching, Dynamic Marching, and Center X Productions.

Sean attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA where he studied with Donald Bick and Howard Curtis, performing in the Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and various solo and chamber groups. Sean was a member of the world champion Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps as well as a 2001 PASIC clinic participant. Sean is an active member of the Percussive Arts Society and is a proud endorser of Innovative Percussion and Ludwig-Musser.
